Edina Tokodi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work centers on plant-based installations, ecological interventions, and the communication of urban greenery. Using living systems as both medium and message, she creates site-specific artworks that explore the intersections of public space, environmental awareness, and community engagement.

Tokodi’s practice investigates how plants operate as markers of memory, identity, and ecological resilience in cities. Her installations activate sensory perception and embodied interaction, inviting viewers to experience the presence of living organisms in ways that are tactile, intimate, and transformative. By placing living materials within urban and architectural contexts, she challenges conventional boundaries between the built environment and natural growth.

Having spent 17 years in New York developing an extensive body of public art and environmentally responsive interventions, Tokodi now continues her work across Europe. Her projects address themes of biodiversity, climate awareness, endangered species, ecological care, and the social relationships that form around green spaces. She is committed to expanding the role of ecological art in cities and demonstrating how creative practice can foster deeper relationships between people and the more-than-human world.
